This week, Oakland’s fashionable Italian espresso space The Caffè via Mr. Coffee introduces the “The Bussdown” Marshmallow Candied Yam Latte created via Chef Michael Woods of Bussdown Supply Oakland as a part of The Caffè’s ongoing chef collaboration sequence. The drink is to be had now thru Saturday, March 23, 2024.
“The Bussdown” is encouraged via Chef Woods’ Pan-African roots and the soul meals he brings to the Oakland group thru his industry. The latte is made with roasted candy potato puree–contrived of darkish brown sugar, allspice, berbere, cinnamon, and cayenne all from Oaktown Spice Store–crowned with toasted marshmallow cream. The method is a natural show of skill, and one Chef Woods and The Caffè are so excited to proportion with guests.
As with all the chef collaborations at The Caffè, 10% of gross sales of this drink will pass to Oakland’s Neighborhood Kitchens.
