Toronto, Ontario-based area of expertise espresso roaster and store Pilot Espresso Roasters is obtaining Ottawa-based Bridgehead Espresso in a deal value roughly US$3.6 million.
Bridgehead, which has 21 espresso store places all the way through the Ottawa house, has been working as a subsidiary of Aegis Manufacturers since a $7.1 million acquisition in 2019. A cafe-focused conglomerate, Aegis was once previously referred to as 2d Cup. The crowd bought its 2d Cup espresso trade to franchise specialist Foodtastic for $11 million in 2021.
The sale of the Bridgehead Espresso trade to Pilot comprises the roasting, wholesale and low store trade, “except for sure specified belongings,” in keeping with a press release from the corporate the day past.
